Dr. Muhammed Younus Rizvi is a distinguished Islamic scholar, teacher, television preacher, and religious writer. He belongs to the Ahle Sunnah wa Jamaat denomination and follows the Hanafi school of jurisprudence.
Dr. Rizvi received his early education from his father, Haji Muhammed Ali, who recognized his son’s passion for religious studies. He was sent to Sheikh-ul-Hadith Allama Muhammad Ilyas Hazarvi for advanced religious education, focusing on the Quran, Sunnah, and Dars-e-Nizami.
He continued his studies at Jamia Rizvia Mazhar-ul-Islam Faisalabad, completing the Hadith course (Daura-e-Hadith) and then traveled to Lahore to master Tajweed and Qirat under the guidance of the internationally renowned Qari Ghulam Rasool. Dr. Rizvi also specialized in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), earned his Mufti certificate from Jamia Rizvia Mazhar-ul-Islam Faisalabad.
His higher education includes an M.A. in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Punjab University, Lahore, and M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees from G.C. University, Faisalabad.
Dr. Rizvi has a rich teaching career, starting as an Arabic teacher at Government College for Women, Jaranwala, from 1988 to 1995, and later at Government High School 653/4 from 1995 to 2021. Thousands of students, both boys and girls, have benefited from his guidance in both religious and modern education. He oversees more than eighteen educational institutions, contributing significantly to the educational landscape.
In 2001, Dr. Rizvi was honored with the Best Teacher Award by the Government of Pakistan, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to education.
Apart from his educational endeavors, Dr. Rizvi is actively involved in social services. He has been granted Khilafat (spiritual assistance) in all four Sufi orders (Tariqat) by Hazrat Qazi Muhammad Fazal Rasool Hyder Rizvi and Sheikh-ul-Hadith Allama Muhammad Ilyas Hazarvi.
